The Street Performers Catalog Library Project is a catalog of street and subway performances in the New York area. The actual catalog of performances is not yet online (planned for February). Performers are cataloged by sex, age, instrument, genre/style, audience, location, time, and other categories. Performers that have records are encouraged to contact us with more information.
Almost every performer in this catalog has received a card or slip of paper asking them to contact us so we can enhance their record. If you have received a card from the Street Performers Catalog Library Project, please email us at eonost@gmail.com. Thank you!
This project is an experiment in the principles of library science, but also seeks to expose audiences to performance artists that put on shows everyday in this city!
